Hoi Pui Traditional Cache

Cache located near Hoi Pu reservoir.
There are 3 routes you can access the cache.
Route 1: (See gallery image for map)
Green MiniBus No.71 from Yuen Long and walk up hill.
Go to Yuen Long Tai Hang Street, outside HongKong JockeyClub there is
the No.71 terminal to Hoi Pu Tsuen(Village), cost HKD$5.5 and takes 15mins to
arrive at Hoi Pu Village - 50Q 0198129E 2481562N
Pass through Hoi pu village arrive at a road and turn left walking up the hill. At the first road junction
turn right and keep going up the hill, you will walk pass the Quarry and Organic Country Farm. At the end of the road you should see a reservoir dam on your left hand side,
and that's Hoi Pu reservoir dam, across the dam , walk up the hill(spur) and takes about 15mins and the cache
is located at the junction at the end of trail.

SERIOUS Warnings: There are 2 trails to hike up the hill, when you crossed the dam, the uphill trail with STAIRS ON THE RIGHT HANDSIDE is for hikers!
The other trails on the left is for mountain bikes, don't ever try to hike on the mountain bike trails,
you can cause serious injury while the bikes travelling up to 30km/h down the hill!
2. By Bus from Tsuen Kam Au
Kwoloon Motor Bus from Tsuen Wan or Kam Tin(Yuen Long)
From Tsuen Wan MTR Station, jump at bus No.51, get off at Station No.11 (ROUTE TWISK COUNTRY PARK MANAGEMENT CENTRE)

Follow the Twisk country park management office and walk along Maclehose Trail to the following coordinates:
50Q 200811E 2480043N, leave the concrete road and turn right walk DOWN into the trail &
head to this coordinate: 50Q 200960E 2480561N. Walk along the trail and you will arrive at the cache location.
3. With your bike. The bike route start from Tsuen Kam Au
Requirenments for this bike route:
A decent mountain bike is not nesscessary, however, i suggest some settings for your bike:
1. Hardtail bike with good technique, have a 100mm front suspension is okay.
2. Full suspension bike with 100mm travel or more, rear suspension with 100mm travel or more.
3. A freeride or downhill bike is an overkill for this route.
4. You will need a licence to bike on this trail, to get your mountain bike licence in Hong Kong,

5. Helmet and gloves is a MUST. Ellow & knee pad is not nesscessary depends on your skills.
6. first aid kit, patch kits, minitools is a MUST!
7. A minium of 1.95" inch of kobbies tires is highly recommend and is required by Law.
This route is a combination of rocky, root , hardpack trails and technical rocky decent sections. A reasonable
riders can finish this trail and arrive at Hoi Pu Tsuen(village) within 75mins. Carrying and pushing bikes is
within this trail.

Then just cycling along the Hoi Pu Bike Trail and arrive at the cache destination. To leave the trail with your bike,
you can ride down the freeride section of famous Hoi Pu DH trail in Hong Kong.
(actually is not technical downhill , is somewhat between "all mountain" and "freeride". Folowing the sign
on the bike trail and will takes you to Hoi Pu Tsuen(village).
