Scrapple-ers: As much as it hurts to archive a Delaware Hundreds' Cache, it needs to be done. A new one will be coming to life here in the near future.

Geocache Description:

******OCTOBER 1ST THRU FEBRUARY 1ST****** DUE TO DELAWARE HUNTING SEASON, PLEASE ACCESS ON SUNDAYS ONLY

We wanted to incorporate both history and geology into our Hundreds Cache. The first co-ordinate takes you to a very important and historical place in Delaware. Without this site, Dela-ware would not be "where" it is. You will be visiting The OakGrove Cornerstone Mason-Dixon Line marker.

When you arrive, please take the time to read about the significance of this part of our great State. You can actually touch the marker and "feel" the history. Find the clue and you will find the co-ords for the cache box located in the Marshy Hope Wildlife Area. Yes, it is a little bit of a drive to get there, but, trust us, it'll be worth it. There are paved roads that will make the drive a little shorter, but they don't seem to exist on the GPSr. You can follow where it sends you, it won't be too far out of the way.(Or, you can look at a map and see how close Rt. 18 really is and go from there. Look North.)

Enjoy the ride across the Northwest Fork countryside You'll see farms and fields and chicken houses As you get closer, you'll even see cows-es. The parking co-ords for the second site are listed below, use them wisely or trekking you will go. If you decide to be brave and bold, be aware, the swamp can be cold. So take a hike along the Woodenhawk River bank, Enjoy the sounds of nature and God you will thank. It's only 2 10th's of a mile, enjoy your walk with a smile. Remember that long ago, this waterway was the only travel you know. This was used to haul food and goods, Now you get to enjoy these woods. There used to be Indians here, as the legend is told, Some lived near the bridge that was really old. The children all said, to their younger brothers and sisters, if the Indians got you, you would get the blisters. So, away they all would run and play, and share the stories with their children today. Over your head, a goose may fly, listen carefully for a little woodduck cry. Briars are alot, there's a little holly tree to, find the broken tree and a twisted vine, and your journey is through. We hope that you've enjoyed a little tour through the Northwest Fork of Sussex County Delaware. Parking: Marshy Hope Wildlife Area N-38 47.561 W-075 41.518 Happy Hunting
