Geocache Description:

The road and paths are all tarmaced so it is suitable for a wheelchair, but the last few feet may be difficult for it.

You are looking for a small metal container about 1" long. It is only large enough to hold a sheet of paper for the log so don't write too much on it save that for the site.
When you get to the coordinates you will see a club sign with a date on it. This stands for ABCD. Directly across the road there is a house called Parnell House please take the street number from it and this is BE.
Then go to North 5A EB 44E East 000 C3 AD4 which is where the cache is.
This is quite a small park on the Green Chain walk with a little lake in it. There is plenty of wild life here including ducks, Canada geese, other birds and plenty of squirrels.
At the top of the park NW corner there is an old ice fridge which was used to supply the house at Eltham Lodge which is now taken up by where you first go for the date. This was used for storing ice by packing it in and then covering it with straw. Due to the design it kept cool all year round. I used to think it dated back to when Henry VIII lived near here at Eltham Palace but it dates to later than that at around 1760.
Eltham Palace is just a short walk and a very interesting place.
The resident's parking bays apply between 1330 to 1500 Mon to Fri
