djcache: I've been advised that the pile of rocks that have been the home to this cache for 5-6 years have been cleaned up. Council efficiency at it's best. Without a home this one will have to go. I'll leave the spot for a local to think of a new idea for a hide.

Geocache Description:

An easy multi at a roadside stop of local significance. Won't take too long if you are travelling through.

Corop is a sleepy hollow on the side of the highway between Bendigo and Shepparton. Barely justifying the speed zone change, most people travel on through without stopping.

Some time ago local work was put into a remarkable little picnic shelter that would not be out of place in the ruins of the Flinders Ranges (SA).

It's worth a stop, as the inside of the shelter is host to a row of display boards detailing the history, geology and flora of the area.

On one wall is a plaque dedicating the opening of the structure by a local politician.

From the date that the politician came to cut the ribbon - if there even was one - take the year.

As it has been muggled once the original container and log have been replaced by The Morris, please be careful replacing it and hopefully this one will survive the next clean up. The replacement cache is a small Sistema box so it will now have room for small swaps, though it does not start life with any. It may still take a little searching for.
