A small cache at a busy interchange along Interstate 80
Snow-Chi-Minh Trailhead
Logo Used With Permission
This cache is located at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Highway 130/230. The interstate from this point to Laramie to the east has been nicknamed the Snow-Chi-Minh trail ever since it was constructed in 1970. It got this nickname because of the infamous weather conditions one might experience in the winter time. The interstate passes very close to Elk Mountain and the Medicine Bow National Forest and in conjuction with that, the wind is ever-present, so much so that there is a wind farm constructed at Arlington. This combination creates very treacherous driving conditions at times and this section of interstate is closed often. The cache is too small for a pencil or pen so bring your own. Enjoy!
