Parramatta Council has placed a walk, called “The Ponds Walk” along “The Driftway”, which was a corridor of uncleared vegetation approximately 100 metres wide and extending from Galaringi Reserve and south through Dundas Quarry. It is believed that the Driftway was initially established to protect water supplies. Significant amounts of the bushland remnants occur today in the area that was the Driftway, providing a wildlife corridor. The area was used for farming early on in the white settlement of Sydney.

"Constructed of local stone. Land subdivided c. 1915. By 1930, the streets had been formed and there was a group of cottages at the southern end of the street. Built by Thomas Taylor, an unemployed stone mason for George Heness, a poultry farmer of the area during the Depression of the 1930s, for the purpose of carting stone across the creek."
Access to the cache is from either of the two entries to the walk on Evans Rd. Please note there is no need to climb onto the bridge to get the cache. This is the first cache by team *socks*.
The cache is now a small box, large enough to take small swaps and coins. It has been placed so that you can see it in the rocks if you are looking for it, so there is no need to start pulling rocks out of the bridge until you see the cache.
This cache has been muggled twice, so please put it back exactly as you found it and make sure you're not caught in the act of caching.
