Geocache Description:

the cache is hidden along hammonton-smartville road, but not at the above-listed coordinates. to determine the location of the strongbox (which contains gold and silver), you must identify 15 outlaws of the old west.

1. robert parker changed his name and led the wild bunch gang. he and his friend, sundance kid, were reportedly killed in bolivia.
2. ned huddleston was a cattle rustler who rode with the gault gang. he moved to colorado and changed his name. (use his new first name)
3. he formed a gang with billy stiles. after being released from prison in 1906, he was last seen working on the panama canal.
4. using the name "billy wilson," he joined billy the kid's gang of rustlers. after serving prison time, pat garrett helped him obtain a presidential pardon.
5. after this robber was convicted of second degree murder, angry bisbee citizens drug him from his cell on february 22, 1884 and hanged him from a telephone pole.
6. ellen watson was lynched by vigilantes in 1889 on trumped-up charges of cattle rustling. (use the first word of her nickname)
7. the bender family murdered at least 10 people in the 1870's, people who stopped at their store and inn near cherryvale, kansas. (use ma's original first name)
8. this indian army tracker was known as the kid. he was sent to alcatraz for mutiny and desertion. (use first word of his nickname)
9. he murdered his wife and child while living among the pawnee indians. he was hanged by johnson county (wyoming) sheriff, frank canton, in 1886.
10. as a gun-fighter, he was said to have killed at least 15 men in colorado, new mexico, and texas. he died on july 1, 1887...he was drunk and was run over by his own wagon.
11. red jack led a gang that preyed on arizona stagecoaches during the early 1880's. after holding up a wells-fargo stage and killing the guard, red jack was tracked down by sheriff bob paul and killed in the ensuing gunfight.
12. named after the founder of the methodist church, this texas shootist killed at least 11 people, and later studied law in prison.
13. he was a member of the california legislature who later turned to robbing banks, stagecoaches and trains. he was killed by a posse in oklahoma on june 8, 1894.
14. along with frank and tom mclaurey, this cattle rustler and horse thief was killed at the gunfight at the ok corral in 1881.
15. "cherokee bill" was involved in a number of robberies and killings. on march 17, 1896 at his hanging, he was asked if he had any last remarks. he replied "no, i came here to die, not to make a speech."
