Geocache Description:

Close to a parking lot! The terrain will vary if you choose to follow your GPS. It will be an adventure in itself to see where it takes you :)) Montalvo has the weirdest issues with reception. Sometimes there's none in an open parking lot, sometimes you'll get full coverage in places that never get any sunlight.

This was meant to be a tribute to the original Montalvo Water Company, my first accidentally discovered cache that has been disabled for about a year now.
But due to the reception insanity mentioned above I was unable to find the place :) Or I may have passed right by, failing to recognize the place. After all it was more than 2 years ago and the only time I've ever been to Montalvo before today.

Though I was not able to find the original spot, I have honored the original container and the original hint. Park at parking lot 2, follow the paved road up into the park, get on the Nature/Wildcat trail and in some 100 feet you'll see a no-name trail branching off uphill in a hairpin kind of way. Take that trail and you'll find it in no time.

P.S. There's no FTF keychain this time because I was planning to plant the cache at the original location...

This cache is one of the stages of the Fort Boyard challenge. It contains a hint on finding Le Peré Fouras and one of the keys to the Fort. Look inside the little tree.
