Geocache Description:

This is a Traditional cache, which involves visiting 1 location to find the cache. The cache is located in Newgate Wood, Hastings, East Sussex.

Newgate Wood, is located alongside Alexandra Park. Newgate Wood can be traced back to Tudor times and in the 18th century was, along with Buckshole, a notorious haunt for smugglers. There are 3 main entrances to the wood. The cache is near a large open space just off the path.

WHAT IS THE CACHE?
The Cache is a small camouflaged clip lock container with log book, pencil and a few swaps.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN I FIND THE CACHE?
Log your find in the logbook provided (if the log book is full let me know). You can leave or take an item if you wish. Also log your find on the website.

The type of co-ordinates used are Lat/Lon hddd°mm.mmm’ (WGS 84)

Co-ordinates for suitable parking are: N50 51.883 E000 33.806

When entering the woods there are a lot of trees around which could possibly interfere with GPS reception.
