Dancin' 'Disco' Jack was in an excited mood...
Due to his excellent ear for a banging tune, his recent DJ debut had gone down a storm! He was especially pleased that Saucy Maggie had turned up to offer her support, and she'd even ended up dancing on one of the podiums there - not easy wearing roller blades! Ah, yes... things had been going great between them since their first date and Jack had decided it was time to do something special to surprise her...
On the grapevine, he'd heard about an illegal Roller Rave being held somewhere locally which Maggie would just love. She loved dancing at the Willaston Pirate Disco, but to really hit her groove she needed a proper bit of Roller Boogie, so Jack had made contact with the Rave organiser and splashed out a bit of his cash on a pair of tickets.
As was usual with these kind of events, all the details of the actual location were being kept top secret until the last minute. If the local law enforcement caught wind of it, they'd probably try to either have it shut down or stop it happening at all. Because of this, over the past few days, Jack had been put through various surreptitious steps to keep his trail clear and today had finally been told to visit the phone box in Raby and wait for a call.
Jack drove there in his Jeep and took his cat Gloria along with him. Gloria was an excellent tracker and would no doubt be a great help sniffing out the tickets once they had a bit more of a clue - well, as long as he hadn't been gorging himself on cheese again. Gloria was a real cheese connoisseur, but it messed up his sense of smell something awful when he guzzled the smelly ones.
Jack put his feet up on the dashboard and took out a book he'd brought with him - 'The Mysteries of Ancient Caldy'. He'd recently heard some rumours about the area that had really piqued his interest, so he thought he'd do a little research while he waited and so settled down for a good read...
Suddenly the phone rang! Jack leaped from his Jeep and scrambled to the phone to pick it up.
'Arrr!', he said giving the secret password.
'Underneath', answered a voice and the phone hung up.
Hmmm... Jack reached underneath the payphone and had a feel around - there was an envelope sellotaped there! Pulling it out, he saw the letters 'DJ' written on the front, and inside he found a map...
What? What was this all about? He'd seen some useless maps in his time (yes, including his own!) but this one made no sense at all. He didn't have time for this - the rave was tonight and he was rapidly running out of time...
He needed to find his tickets - and fast!
