Geocache Description:

Fairly easy hide located just off the beaten path. NO HEAVY BUSHWHACKING REQUIRED although there are tall weeds and some storm debris to navigate through.

**UPDATE 3/2018: Area has changed dramatically since the time we placed the cache. We have been considering taking this one down or moving it because we’re not crazy about the surrounding area anymore. But it was our first hide and is our only surviving geocache and it’s been where it is for all these many years so I’ve been reluctant to. Changed difficulty and terrain ratings instead to more accurately reflect current conditions.

Found this spot while hunting some of the other great caches in the Central Park System. We thought it would be a great place for a hide. (*UPDATE 10/2015 -- This location is now a little less inviting than it once was, but the original hiding place is still there so we're going to leave it be. Just keep in mind that it is not intended to be difficult and watch for critters!)

The namesake for this cache actually comes from a grouping of 3 trees approximately 42 feet south of the actual hide. We were walking or riding our bikes past them one day and jokingly named them "the Tree Amigos". Unfortunately there's not a suitable hiding place there. Fortunately, though, this grouping was nearby and also fits the description. (*UPDATE 10/2015 -- There is no longer a grouping of 3 trees here, but there was when we planted the cache!)

What you are hunting is a small camoflauged lock-n-lock. Happy hunting! Please use stealth and rehide it well exactly where found with a bit of natural camo.
