We think this is the nicest corner of the park, especially on rainy days, when it is at its tumbling, turbulent best. The embankment here is steep and slippery; however, there is no need to go down to the stream or to do any climbing.
Our cache is a quart container with Spring things in it and on it - flowers, butterflies, birds, a slinky, etc. You may want to avoid the start and end of the school day. Update Feb 20, 2012. We have replaced the container with a smaller, camoed tupperware. Update Mar 15, 2015. We replaced the container again. Not a tupperware this time. Update Aug 21, 2017. Replaced a third time. Update Aug 26, 2018. Replaced again. It is now a pill bottle. We reloaded it with spring things: flowers, butterflies, and springs. Update Dec. 10, 2019. Replaced again with a small plastic jar and restocked with more flowers, a duck, a shamrock, and springs. Replaced again Jan. 17, 2022. We have replaced it again on December 4th 2022. Due to increased overgrowth we have increased the difficulty to one and a half.
