The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

tumbleweed2: The general area for this cache is not conducive for caching activity right now, so this one must head to the archive shelf. I guess the Naughty Lady was too Naughty, and must go to her room permanently.

Geocache Description:

"The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane" is a popular song written by Sid Tepper and Roy C. Bennett. The lyrics suggest that this "naughty lady" driving the whole city crazy is an attractive young woman, but the last line reveals her to be an infant of nine days. Popular versions of the song were the 1954 recordings by The Ames Brothers and by Archie Bleyer. The recording by The Ames Brothers was made on September 8, 1954. It was released by RCA Victor Records as catalog number 20-5897. It first reached the Billboard magazine charts on November 20, 1954. On the Disk Jockey chart, it peaked at #3; on the Best Seller chart, at #3; on the Juke Box chart, at #3. The Bleyer version was released by Cadence Records as catalog number 1254. The record first reached the Billboard magazine charts on November 24, 1954 and lasted 5 weeks on the chart, peaking at #26.

Cache is placed near the end of Shady Lane, in Pasco. The street sign for Shady Lane is now missing, but it should show up on your GPS.

Note the interesting street markings on the road near the cache site in the photo. Because of the activity concerning them, the cache has been relocated NE. Beware 2 deep holes, SW of the new cache location,(the newly vacated former cache hiding spots.)Both of the hide spots are still there, but not safe for a cache hide, so I moved it a bit NE. Container is now a round metal cookie tin, 5.5" diameter.
