A parking lot cache.
This cache is intended to bring attention to the O'Fallon, Missouri Spirit of Freedom 9-11 Memorial. "It memorializes Americans who were killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York City and Washington, DC, O'Fallon erected this inspiring public art project in 2003. The twisted metal and steel piece was dedicated at the intersection of the WingHaven community and Highway 40/61 on the second anniversary of the attacks. The 13-ton monument is a poignant reminder of lives lost and the rallying together of communities following the worst attack on American soil in the country's history."
While getting to the memorial is downright dangerous (traffic), the cache is in a safe location which is close to some shopping. The cache is small so bring your own pen or pencil for the log.
