The cache is located close to the scenic North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Thomason Foss, depending on your approach you may have to use one of the two bridges which cross the Eller Beck at the same location!
A nearby memorial stone is a sad reminder of the power and unforgiving nature of water. To the east of the cache site good photographs can been taken of the steam locomotives working hard as they haul their trains up the 1 in 49 gradient from Grosmont to Goathland. Trains working up the gradient from Grosmont to Goathland should pass close to the cache 10 minutes after leaving Gosmont, you will be able to hear them approaching. Trains departing Goathland for Grosmont should pass close to the cache 5 minutes after leaving Goathland. Details of the train departures from Grosmont and Goathland can be found of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway website.
Please do not cross the stone wall and trespass on railway property.
The container has a log sheet but no pen
