Welcome to Gillam Road, Calaveras County’s worst public road. Because of the possible presence of the endangered red-legged frog, all maintenance on this public road has been halted for years. However, once you've braved the muddy holes and treacherous terrain you are rewarded with a view of one of the most peaceful valleys in the Valley Springs area.
Please note that as long as you drive slowly and carefully, any car should be able to handle the drive on this road. All stages of the cache are located near the road and you do not need to cross any fence line.
As a challenge to anyone finding this cache, if you think there is a worse public road out there, please post pictures.
If you need additional hints or if you just want to say hello to a fellow cacher please drive to the ranch house from stage 2.
NOTE: This cache was specifically placed to trade and collect key chains. Please take and leave only key chains. Thank you!
Warning: Please do not talk to the neighbors living in the old farm house across the bridge about Geocaching. They are a mean guys most certainly destroying the cache if they know where to find it.
