Off a farm track in a Roman Fort.
This is an almost drive to location but we walked to it from Heights which made it an easy walk. Castleshaw valley and Fort are just off the A62 outside Delph of brass band fame. It's a lovely valley sitting below Standedge Ridge and can be approached from a few directions and caches. The Fort itself is quite substantial and I fancy you can see the path of the road up the hill. This might be even better if there is snow on the ground
