Drive past the Mt. Ashland Ski Area and park at the end of the road. Remember to put out your Snow Park Pass! You will be about 2 miles form the cache. In the summer, you can drive further on the road. Satellites up here are jumpy for some reason. Some days you will get within a few feet, other days you will be lucky to get within 50 feet of the cache.
This one is a large camo tube with numerous small trading items. There are lots of beautiful views from up here in the winter. The terrain is rated 4 because, in the winter, you must snow-shoe or cross-county ski in to get this one. Satellites are a bit jumpy in these woods, so be prepared to widen your search circle a bit if necessary. If the weather has been wet and is then freezing when you find it, although you will see the cache easily, you might not be able to reach it. Don't try too hard. Just email me with a description of the outside of the container and what prevented you from retrieving it and you can log it as a find and I will enter you in the log book in the cache on a warmer day.
I placed two other caches and a Waymark nearby today, so you can keep busy while enjoying the area. The "User's Web Page" link on this listing will take you to the information for the Waymark. Check it out!
