Geocache Description:

A large easily accessible cache.

Caution: it looks like there may be a trapper's trail nearby. Keep an eye on children and pets.

This cache was placed after finding Mammoth Tusk. After a long walk and a couple of water crossings, we thought it would be nice to have an easy cache accessible year round in the area. Good parking is close when there is no snow. Winter parking may be difficult depending on snow depth. When the cache was placed it was necessary to shovel the snow berm to allow off-road parking. It should not take too long to locate the cache so this may not be necessary since it is a rural road with a good sight distance coming from either direction. Use caution and common sense when parking.

The name of this cache may help you locate it. A hint is provided, but REAL cachers will look before decoding.

When placed this cache contained a pencil, you may want to bring your own. It also contained a 2006 Alaska Geocaching pin. The cache container was upgraded 9/15/11 with a large ammo box

Permitted by Alaska State Parks.
