Geocache Description:

The ruins of Great Hill Farm are near to the Run To The Hills cache, there is a circular path that links the two spots.

I was going to place a hide here in the summer, but there was a dead sheep here then!

On the photo below, Run To The Hills is at the summit, and this cache is within the trees to the right of the hill in the centre of the pic.



The recommended route is as per the other cache, straight up from White Coppice Cricket Ground, via the cache at Drinkwaters, Bleak House. Online route here, with photos.



From the cache location, carry on slightly to meet the paved track that links Great Hill to Hordern Stoops. Well, it gets about half way before petering out, although its still a clear path from there. The paving is due to continue all the way over, and consists of great big slabs dropped via helicopter.

Items in the cache when hidden were 2 magnetic clips, a water pistol, a geocoin to move on, 2 parachutists, an Asda voucher (worth about £3), some earplugs, a dinosaur, a whisk and a current menu for a fab chinese takeaway in Chorley. Not as daft as it sounds - phone for it when you're at the cache and it'll be ready to pick up when you get back to your car! Y'see, always thinking!
