Pozor! Souradnice listingu nejsou 'startovni' !!! Prectete 'postup lovu' predtim nez vyrazite!

Na tomto useku ma reka take vyrazny spad.
Dosud pretrvavajici stavby byly poboreny. Krome pasu kolem hranicnich zatarasu, ktere byly pomoci herbicidu udrzovany zcela hole, a site vojenskych asfaltovych silnicek pro rychle presuny jednotek pohranicni straze byla tato oblast ponechana svemu osudu, takze priroda si tady nekolik desitek let 'delala co chtela'. Vysledkem je pozoruhodna, zvlastni tvar krajiny, ovlivnene clovekem a divoke zaroven...

Dalsi informace muzete ziskat i primo v terenu z informacnich tabuli spravy NP. Zajimave visute mosty pres reku. Na Sobesu pak neobvykle umistene vinice, v letni sezone dokonce s moznosti ochutnavky vina. Z hrebenu nad Sobesem velkolepe vyhledy do udoli... a mnoho dalsich kras a zajimavosti.

Samozrejme, dost rozvlacnych blabolu. Prejdeme k praktictejsim vecem.

Vetsina cest jsou byvale vojenske 'signalky' - do dneska pomerne zachovale a nekde i dnes udrzovane asfaltove silnicky, takze nepotrebujete zadne drsnacke kolo.

--- POSTUP LOVU ---

Souradnice uvedene v listingu nejsou 'startovni'!
Zacit totiz muzete z ruznych mist.

Jeste tu mam UPOZORNENI PRO TY, KTERI PLANUJI udelat si nejaky vetsi OKRUH nebo cache navstivit v ramci dalkove cyklojizdy ci pochodu...

--- STAGE PAPIRNA N 48° 49.065 E 15°58.928
Pozustatky asi nejlepe zachovaneho mlyna zvaneho Papirna.

Nikdo vsak nezakazuje kolo vest, takze si ho muzete vzit ssebou.

Studnu kryje kovana mriz - uplne jednoducha, bez ozdob. P = 2
Studnu kryje kovana mriz, uprostred je motiv kvetiny. P = 3
Studnu kryje drevene bedneni. P = 4
Studna neni zakryta vubec nicim. P = 5

--- STAGE HREBEN N 48° 49.168 E 015° 58.417
Cesta nahore nad Sobesem, na hrbetu 'poloostrova'. Vyborne vyhledy do udoli.

Diky!

V levém odstavci českého textu, označeném vlaječkou, spočítejte počet řádků a vydělte jej dvěma. To je číslo H.

--- CACHE
Souradnice cache spocitate uplne jednoduse. V zavorkach jsou hodnoty jednotlivych cislic tisicin minuty.

N 48° 49. (H-P-1)(P-2)(P)
E 015° 58. (H-4)(H+1)(H-P)

Hodne stesti a prijemnych zazitku!

--- ENGLISH SUMMARY

NOTE! – the coordinates of the listing are not the starting coordinates! You can start either at Stage Papirna or at Stage Hreben – the choice is yours (based on from where you approach the river, of course).

The area of Nine mills is quite special – it had been inhabited since the stone age, and then, after WWII, completely abandoned for 40 years – it was close to the Iron Curtain, so nobody was allowed in this area except the border army and a very limited (and constantly watched) agricultural use. So today, the nature of this area is quite peculiar: affected by the human presence and wild at the same time...

I guess that no lengthy description is really needed – just look at the satellite imagery and at the pictures in the gallery... :)

The multi-stage route is quite simple in principle – you have to visit two locations, get two values, the final calculation is trivial. Nevertheless, the trip can be quite time-consuming.
You can make a bicycle trip – most of the route will lead you along former military roads (mostly tarmac), still quite good. You must of course be ready to negotiate some elevation changes - the river valley is quite deep.
Absolutely NO motor vehicles are allowed! The parking places suggested in the Additional Waypoints are the furthest places you can reach with a motor vehicle legally!

Notice! All stages and the cache itself are in the 1. zone of the National Park! Please, check the visitor regulations (on the first tourist info table you meet) and follow the rules. Thank you.

--- THE HUNT
The initial two stages can be visited in any order, as it fits your plans. The placing of the stages and of the final cache may seem illogical, but it has its purpose... you'll probably see it when you finish the hunt. The 'lack of logic' won't hurt you if you plan to start and finish your trip at the same side of the river. In case you would like to make a round trip, or just pass from one side of the valley across the river to the other side and not come back the same way, just contact me – I can tell you one of the needed values in advance and you'll visit that particular stage only After you have found the cache. No problem.
Don't forget to consult the images provided in the listing - most of them are there to help you locate the objects or places mentioned in the text.

--- STAGE PAPIRNA N 48° 49.065 E 15°58.928 – the 'PAPER MILL'
Ruins of one of the nine mills, called Papirna = the paper mill. (don't go inside the ruins! it can be dangerous).
If you come by bicycle, notice that – due to the National Park regulations - you are not allowed to ride it along the yellow-marked pedestrian tourist path! However, you can take the bike with you (walk it) – it's just about 500 meters from the 'Judexuv mlyn' crossroad, so just take a little walk...
--- NOTE: this applies to all tourist paths in the 1.zone of the National Park: officially, you can ride the bike only along CYCLING paths. However, there are no rules against walking and taking your bike with you along a marked pedestrian path. As far as I know, the National Park Guards also tolerate cycling along marked pedestrian paths, as long as these are hardened roads (asphalt, tarmac, concrete) and you don't endanger the pedestrians.

Back to the cache hunt: the coordinates should take you to a wooden railing at the edge of the mill race (ditch) - see the picture 'Pred Papirnou' in the listing. On the other side of the mill race, between the ditch and the river, you should see large round mill-stones. One of them is at the picture 'Mlynsky kamen' in the listing. Count these stones! Just these, lying one next to another, between the ditch and the river – no other millstones you could perhaps find somewhere in the suroundings of the mill!
Note the number of the stones as P.
Alternative for the summer: in case the area is so overgrown with summer vegetation, that you cannot count the stones, you can get the number in another way. Find a well nearby (just look around, the well is in the open area). Decide which of the following statements is true:
The well is covered by a metal grate. In the center of the grate, there is a Sun (a Sun face). P = 1
The well is covered by a metal grate. This grate is very simple, with no special decoration. P = 2
The well is covered by a metal grate. In the center, there is a flower. P = 3
The well is covered by wooden boarding. P = 4
The well isn't covered at all. P = 5

--- STAGE HREBEN N 48° 49.168 E 015° 58.417 - the RIDGE
The road above the Sobes vineyard, on the ridge-top of the 'peninsula'. Excellent view of the valley. If you go a few meters off the road (or along the road uphill), you can even look down the other side of the quite narrow ridge (east).
At the given coordinates, there used to be a tourist information table, that was significant in the original version of the multi-stage hunt.
For now, just enjoy the view from there... and then move to N 48° 49.069 E 015° 58.466. There is a new tourist information table (renewed in a slightly different location). Count the number of lines in the left paragraph of the Czech text (marked by a CZ national flag) and divide this number by two. The result is "H".

--- CACHE

Perform the calculations (or just substitute the values) INSIDE the brackets only! You'll get a three-digit number – the thousandths of a minute.
N 48° 49. (H-P-1)(P-2)(P)
E 015° 58. (H-4)(H+1)(H-P)

That's it! Enjoy your trip!
