Welcome to "Gregs Long Drop", no its not a rest stop or thunder box, its a big leap off a rock into the river.
Welcome to “Greg’s long drop”. Located on the Shoalhaven river just across from the north Nowra ski park. This cache has been placed right next to the best place to jump into the Shoalhaven. At this rock there are three places to jump, I’ve only jumped from the first and second highest, but if you are brave enough, try the top. To complete this cache I would like to see a photo of one of your group jumping into the river (preferably from the rock).
The only way to get to the rock is from the water as the container is surrounded by private propety. I usually go by boat and park on the beach closest to the cache container. You could also canoe, kayak or even swim across from the ski park/animal park (but be careful as a girl was run over by a boat not all that long ago). Please let common sense prevail and always check the water depth before jumping. Enjoy!
