En våldsam brand rasade här omkring 1870. Området var då helt täckt med skog. Branden upptäcktes av ett kärlekspar som varnade den då enda intilliggande gården.
A violent fire roused here about 1870. The area was during that time all forest. The fire was discoverd by a lovecouple, who warned the nearby farm.
