A large Ammo Can hidden in a remote area of the 320 acre Lake Wilson City Park south of Fayetteville.
This is a TRIANGULATION cache that will require finding a point on a straight line connecting two sets of coordinates which are also Land Survey Corners. The point you are searching is a stack of FIVE FLAT ROCKS that I placed about a foot high and .5 mile East of the first point and .25 mile West of the second point.
I recommend consulting TOPOZONE or GOOGLE EARTH to locate the approximate location of the FIVE FLAT ROCKS.I will say that they are on the East side of Lake Wilson. You don't have to physically visit the two given points, only enter both sets into your GPSr and maneuver around until you are the required distance from both. Once you are close you can fine tune your position by lining the Arrow on your GPSr with the E-W marks while going toward or away from either set of coordinates. I didn't have to compensate for Declination as the Factory Defaults on my GARMIN VISTA are evidently set to allow for Declination while following a Land Survey Line. I don't know about other makes and models.
Once you have located the stack of FIVE FLAT ROCKS, the Physical Cache is located about 240 feet due south (See Clue).
The purpose of this cache is to acquaint users with another application for their GPSr. The area of the cache is remote and should be free of muggles. There are sights to see and you might see some deer or other wildlife. I have seen deer, hawks and a sleepy owl. There is a neat limestone bluff in the area that contains some neat fossils.
I have placed a RED JEEP RUBICON (see picture) in the cache which is about three times as large as the WHITE JEEP Travel Bugs. I have also placed a PURPLE JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA in the cache which is the same size as the GREEN JEEP Travel Bugs. These JEEPS are available at ALL THINGS JEEP website.
These jeeps are yours to keep, hopefully as a memento of this cache.
CORNER NUMBER ONE: 35 59.820 094 08.265. An iron rod is driven in the ground and is marked with orange flagging. The remains of a cow that recently died during calfbirth can be found about 500 feet to the south. Some of the remains of the archery range are present also. The stack of FIVE FLAT ROCKS is located .5 mile East and on the other side of Lake Wilson. This corner is on the West boundary line of the park.
CORNER NUMBER TWO: 35 59.800 094 07.458. A stone, marked by orange flagging, is located here with a CROSS cut on it. It is just East of the cleared rightaway for a electric powerline where the powerline makes a bend to the southeast. The stack of Five Flat Rocks is located .25 mile west. This corner is located on the East boundary line of the park.
