Kostel sv. Jana Krtitele
Rane gotický kostel
ležící na kraji mesta v Nudvojovicích pochází z druhé tretiny
13. století. Historické prameny však dokládají existenci
ješte starší románské stavby z prelomu 12. a 13. století.
Proto lze považovat kostel za nejstarší stavební
památku Turnovska.
Koncem 19. století byl
kostel natolik sešlý, že se v roce 1894 zapocalo s jeho
obnovou. Z puvodní stavby se nejvíce dochoval jižní portál a
spodní cást severního portálu v prucelí. Vetšina vnitrního
vybavení pochází z dílny Petra Buška z Husy u Sychrova a
vznikla v souvislosti s obnovou kostela.
Church of St.John the Babtist
The early Gothic church
which lies on the periphery of Turnov in Nudvojovice dates back to
the second third of the 13th century. However, the historical
sources prove the existence of an even older building from the turn
of the 12th and 13th century. So we can consider this church the
oldest sight in the region around Turnov.
At the end of the 19.
century, the church was so ruinous that the renovation had to be
started in 1894. The south portal and a bottom part of the north
portal in the facade have remained of the original building. Most
of the interior decoration comes from the workshop of Petr
Bušek of Husa near Sychrov; it was completed by the time of
the Church renovation.
