This cache has been in need of maintenance for an extended period of time. Due to the lack of response toward the needed maintenance since my last contact, I am archiving the cache to keep it from showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

This is a small cache hidden inside a building at very interesting place (special permission was given to place a cache here). You can find the cache BEFORE the point where you have to pay admission and you will only be able to gain access to the cache during the hours posted below. NOTE: the cache is not on any of the displays so DO NOT TOUCH THE DISPLAYS! Also, the coordinates may be difficult to use because it is inside a building.

This place is one of the hidden gems of Winnipeg and is a nice warm spot to take the family to do a little winter geocaching. You will be able to get to location of the cache without having to go into the area where you are required to pay admission.

However, if you do want to see the fantastic "displays" in the rest of the building the rates for admission are below (or you can choose to use one of the admission tickets that I have put in the cache).

There is even a "hands on" exhibit for the kids upstairs, as well as a scenic lookout. So, this a perfect geocache to go visit for both adults and children.

The cache is a small lock n' lock that contains some "local" items (some of them donated by the nice folks that run the location) as well as $10 gift shop gift certificate for the FTF. Also, I have put in one Family Pass ticket (good for two adults & 3 children) and three Adult Pass tickets.

Hours:
Monday through Friday: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
Saturdays: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sundays and Holidays*: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

*Closed New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day

The admission prices for going to the areas past where the cache is are as follows (or you could use one of the tickets that I have left in the cache):

Admission:
Adult: $7.50
Seniors & Students: $5.00
Children (ages 3-12): $3.00
Family rate (2 adults / 3 children): $18.00

Please make sure to re-hide the cache safely out of sight so that the muggles do not see it. Most of the staff are aware of the existance of the cache (out of necessity) so they will not bother you (if you behave responsibly).
