Geocache Description:

Kirby's West Trail / Sequoia G O Trail. cache is the 1st of four new caches along this trail, placed near some stone foundations. The elevation of this 1st cache is 640 feet. Please do not disassemble the walls in the area. Cache can be reached with out moving a single stone.

The Trail Head at the parking cords can be hard to see especially in summer. It is marked with a 6x6 post at about one o'clock in the parking area looking up the hill. Yep...Catlon found a new trail. And of course, it now has caches along the first side of it. This cache starts your 3 mile trek, should you decide to hike for all in this series ( Sequoia G O Trail ). The trailhead can be picked up at this parking area along Kirby Rd: N39 10.905 W84 33.462. I strongly advise not parking anywhere else. Unless you are planning on a circuit hike from the main entrance on US 27. Please make this a daylight only cache, as neither the trail, nor the parking area are lighted. there is also a house nearby this cache. We saw a deer welcoming us at the trail head when we arrived, and leaving, some one provided us some amusement by placing a snow man on one of the trail posts as we were leaving. Enjoy the beauty of this new trail, and remember, CITO as you G O 4/6/2015 the original log that dates back to 2007 has seen better days. Placed a new log for the next cache finders to use but kept the original log in the cache for those wishing to view it. New log, new / seperate baggie Inspection 5/29/2022, did not find the cache. Added a new container similar to the old one. Moved it slightly as the original placement is disintegrating. I added a waypoint for finding the best trail in case you lose the deertrail this one is on. Its a bushwhack from hell but will get you going better.
