I thought it would be fun to see how many new cache sites I could find near to Mills in my local area. These will include Watermills and Windmills, some still in use, some now used for other purposes. Most mills are sited in nice surroundings, so I hope you will enjoy visiting them. I will be adding new caches to this series over the next few months.
All the micros are hidden right on public footpaths. None of them will be very close to private houses. Some of them are near public highways, but many are along private roadways, with only footpath access. Please park considerately, and do not drive along any private roads to access the caches.
This micro is placed near Fen Place Mill, down a long private drive, between Turners Hill and East Grinstead. There is no parking anywhere near, and I would suggest that you could walk here, on the public footpaths, from Crawley Down, Imberhorne Lane or Gravetye Woods. The footpath that used to go right by the old mill house, has recently been diverted, so will not be the same as on your map! There are now two paths, one to the west of the old mill pond and one to the east of the house and garden. The micro is hidden on the new diverted eastern path.
