RDCircuits (Auckland) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tramper Ted: It seems the area has changed and, after checking by a caching friend, confirmed that the final has gone AWOL. A shame, but congratulations to all those who took up this difficult challenge!

Geocache Description:

Welcome to rdcircuits by tramper ted

The co-ordinates above are NOT the location of the cache and are NOT a place to start.
Terrain at the cache is flat and easily accessible. By descending at some point of your journey you will achieve what you seek. This is a most “Suitable” “Drive by”.

Your task is to unravel the code below to give you a set of starting co-ordinates. Then match the list of major projections. This will give new waypoints that are a maximum of 122m from GZ and a minimum of 2m from GZ. If all projections are applied then they will surround the cache. This may be enough for you to be successful. To gain maximum accuracy match the minor projections to the major projections waypoints. This will refine the new waypoints to be no greater than 1m from GZ. That should make it very easy.

On your journey you will expand your knowledge and be encouraged to use a variety of methods and tools to get you to the cache.

The GPSr that was used is a Garmin 60CSx and also tested with a Garmin eTrex Vista.

A Stage 1 clue has been added and the difficulty rating changed slightly 8/8/07. There are however still many leads hidden within this text and crumbs will be available by email to those who prove to be hardworking and worthy.

Please ensure that your logs do not spoil it for those that follow.

Stage 1
See if you can find a .com site to assist. You will need to have a pass phrase that relates to the cache and owner to crack this code. Minimum 20 characters but best if it is 22.

Stage 2
It is now time to apply 0 4 to reveal the next step.

When you apply the next step you will have the starting points you need to work your way round the projections. Just match them in an orderly manner.

Projections are both True and Magnetic just because Annett forgot to change the GPSr.

No need to leave home just yet.
Use geochecker to help match the first projections to the cache location. This is a “Fuzzy” match (30 meters)to allow for differences in projections over longer distances. (30m link)

To assist with the second projections use this link for a 10 meter "Fuzzy" match.

Stage 4
When you finally arrive at GZ Tramper Ted holds the key - the Cache is an upright camouflaged one litre Tupperware container sitting high and dry with the usual trades. It also contains at the time of placement a reward for the FTF which is in a form that will recognise the energy expended.
