Geocache Description:

Cache is located at a township that features an Explorer, a Local Hero and some long forgotten mining history.

The original section of this township was bought from the Crown in May 1842,by Charles Flaxman,an agent for George Fife Angus.Originally named after a Cathedral town in Cornwall, it was re surveyed in 1860.In Old English, the township means 'Three Roads'.

Locally known as 'The Traveller's Rest' it's a place that many of us have stopped at but never taken the time to discover.

When you reach Waypoint One you will see a Cairn that will provide you with the details to find Waypoint Two.

You will need to.....
...Count the letters in the third word on the top line of the plaque and use this number to fill the first space.
...Count the letters in the first word on the third line and take away one to get the number for the second space.
...Finally count the letters in the second word of the sixth line for the number of the final space....as follows

S 34 24 602 E 139 07 _ _ _

These co ordinates will take you to the Memorial Plaque of a Local Hero. When you reach this destination you will need to find 2 more numbers in order to proceed to the Final Destination and the Cache Container.

At the oldest memorial, on the bottom of this monument use the very last number of the last line to fill in your first space.

Secondly add the first two numbers together on the last line of this same memorial to fill in your final space
as follows...

S 34 2_ 134 E 139 0_ 963

Finally these co ordinates will take you to a long forgotten place of Mining History and of course the Cache!

You will be looking for a small to medium clear plastic container with the usual log book , pen and some various small swaps.

Hope you Enjoy some of the History around this Township.
