Geocache Description:

Don't park on the highway! There is a dirt road about 40 yards east of the cache that provides much safer parking.

Small cache container replaced by an ammo box. Contains some old VHS and DVDs as well as some other swag. Nice TB Hotel.

Please hide the cache as well or better than you found it.

Created in 1935 by President Roosevelt, the Works Project Administration put Depression Era unemployed Americans to work. Over the years they built 650,000 miles of roads, 78,000 bridges, 125,000 buildings, and 700 miles of airport runways. The WPA artists also produced an amazing number of quality works of art.

I have no idea if the bridge near this cache is a product of the WPA (perhaps some long-time resident cachers can enlighten us), but the workmanship is typical of the work they did in the 30s.

This cache is near parking for the "Short Sandy" and "Long Winding" caches. They are worth the hike!
