Geocache Description:

Magnetic Keysafe cache placed in historic Walthamstow Village

This is named after the hit record by the 90's group E17 who came from Walthamstow.

Walthamstow Village is an ancient nucleus of present day Walthamstow, located in North East London. Designated a Conservation Area by the Borough of Waltham Forest in 1967, it centres around St. Mary's Church, which was founded in the 12th century. Across the road from this is a 15th century timber-framed "hall" house which locals have dubbed "The Ancient House". Nearby are almshouses dating from the 16th and 18th centuries, and "Vestry House" (free museum - worth a visit), which has been used as a workhouse and police station, but has been a museum since 1931.

Parking is best in Church Hill Road as can be tricky with lots of resident parking. Alternatively it is only a short walk from Walthamstow Central station where there are bus/tube and train links

Flat access to the cache so can easily be done with a wheelchair/buggy etc.

Be mindfull of muggles as this is a cut through. Very busy after schools exit during the week.

Please replace the cache as you find it. Correct way up to prevent water getting in. No pen/pencil in the cache.
