Brown Bridge Pond Peek-a-Boo Cache
This cache is located in the Brown Bridge Pond Quite Area, overlooking Brown Bridge Pond, which is formed as a backwaters of Brown Bridge Dam. The Quite Area has miles of well groomed trail with numerous water access sites. The area also features several scenic overlook platforms and a boardwalk through a typical northern Michigan wetland area.
The cache is located less than 1,000 ft from a designated parking area (N 44° 39.18' W 085° 29.78') over fairly level ground. Hikers continuing on to the visit the boardwalk or pond level swimming areas should be in good health and reasonably fit for the return trip to the ridge. You might also consider industrial strength mosquito repellant if attempting the boardwalk, even though there were none the day we planted the cache.
