This is a 3 part multi cache. Terrain varies from streets to brush. The distance to the final site is about 6 miles from the start so it is not a quick find. After its' posting the Marion County Sheriff's Office left a note in the log!! CONGRATULATIONS TO FTF's TEAM HONDAV!!!!
This is designed as a night cache....it may make searching for this one easier and provide cover for you. However, it can be done in daylight. Please replace everything exactly as it was set up. Since felines like to stay up nights, I spent last night working on this for you. The first two waypoint markers just hold coordinates. These waypoints are neighborhood locations so exercise discretion, please. Waypoint 1 had been restored like originally set up so the last finders logs aren’t fitting now. FTF-Please take only what is in the envelope for you! Mighty nice gifts (and appropriate too) if I do say so myself. And STF-contrary to normal there is a special envelope for you too! The cache is a small regular size. Have fun and be safe! FINAL is just street side of private property.
When you reach the cache you will be near the scene of one of the greatest tragic mysteries ever to happen in Salem. Please take the time to stop there( it's less than 100' away). Delivering pizza can be a hazardous job. A young woman disappeared here doing that one 4th of July. A pastor found the car door open and the engine running with pizzas on the back seat. Her body has never been found. UPDATE: DECEMBER 18, 2007- this case has been solved by the Marion County Cold Case Unit. The mystery is now officially ruled a murder. The killer has been in prison since the mid 80's for 2 other homicides which terrorized Salem. He intentionally rear ended the cars of two women then killed them when they stopped after the accidents. Caution should be used (at night) heading to waypoint 3.
