A Base-ic Cache Traditional Cache
alexhenryj: With all of the new caches in the area I will leave this one MIA and not replace it. I was surprised that it ended up lasting as long as it did. Thanks to those who found it and I hope everyone was able to enjoy it. It really was my favorite cache!

Plattsburgh Air Force Base is a now-defunct United States Air Force base covering 3,447 acres in the extreme northeast corner of the United States, only twenty miles from the Canadian Border. It is located on the western shore of Lake Champlain. Burlington, Vermont was on the opposite shore. The base closed on September 25, 1995, pursuant to the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Act of 1990 (10 U.S.C. Sec. 2687 note) and the recommendations of the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission. It is now an industrial complex, operated by the Plattsburgh Air Base Development Authority.
The cache is your standard 7.62mm ammo can. I think this is one of the coolest places in Plattsburgh. This, again, is one of those caches that will bring you to one of those places that I enjoy!
