In last century it the rivers bend, in that area where now is Znamenskaya church lived more than three thousands people and about two and a half of them were members of orthodox church.
In 1897 it was decided to build a church. People had to donate money for this project; most of them did. Emperor Nicolay also donated for building. V. Martinson gave building area, which had cost of more than 50 thousands rubbles (very much for these years).
There was no bridge before they've built the church; it was built later, because there were so much of people that needed to the other side of the river to the church, so they decided to build a bridge in 1906th year. It's only 6 meters above the river level.
This bridge it stood hundred years, and only in 2006th year they finished it's re-construction.
