Geocache Description:

“Let’s go for a ride” says Mr Apollo, begging me to take him up in my spaceship again. Honestly, you would think that novelty would have worn off by now, but no, he likes nothing better than to watch me sitting at the control pad in my silver catsuit, pushing all the right buttons.

Mr Apollo has recently been spending a lot of time travelling back to the early 1980’s and particularly enjoys 4.55pm on Fridays. At first I thought he was calling out “Crackerjack” because he was daydreaming about having Jack Aubrey around for Christmas dinner, but then I realised that he was just joining in with a programme of that name that he seems to have become obsessed with. However, he is not so fond of hearing “Fandabidozi”, nor of the little imp that seems to shout it out all the time. In fact, Mr Apollo says that this tiny twerp is spoiling his enjoyment of the show so much that he must be obliterated from space and time, and so today he wants me to take him to Killiecrankie where, as the name indicates, he can eliminate wee Jimmy from history.

So there I am standing at the keyboard of the S.S. Innes just about to type in our intended location when Mr Apollo says, “Zelda, I can’t help wonderin’ about those six-inch stiletto boots you insist on wearin’ - those shoes must be killin’ you”, and because I’ve already been typing the K-I-L-L-I as he’s been talking, I only go and hit the N by mistake then. Oops! Too late to rectify the mistake - the Innes is off like a rocket (well, maybe that’s because it is a rocket), and so it was that we found ourselves landing right next to the rather lovely Falls of Dochart.

Well, since we’re here, we think that we might as well set one of our Bonzo Boxes as they have a song that ties in with our location very well.

You can park, as we did, on the roadside beside the falls at N56 27.677 W004 19.294. After admiring the gushing torrents, walk down the road and follow the sign marked for the cycle path to Balquhidder.

As you don’t have to walk too far to get to the cache we decided to make it just that little bit more difficult to get to, hence the high terrain rating. You will have to either find a way to cross the burn or do some gymnastics at a fence. Be careful whichever option you choose. Remember Mr Apollo is a superhero and I am an alien, but you are merely human and should bear in mind that you are mortal.

The signal was not too good under the trees but the hint should help.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CACHE IS THEMED: BLUE SWAPS ONLY THANKYOU
