Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed as part of the 3rd Annual Vancouver Island Hide-&-Go Cache.

The portion of the cache name that is within quotation marks is an anagram of the general location of this cache. It resolves into three words. It is not necessary to solve the anagram to find the cache, and its solution may be found in the cache logbook.

This cache is typical of my previous caches. I give you the final coordinates. You figure out how to get there. You will enjoy some exercise. If you locate and follow the same access as I did, you will enjoy a primitive but decent trail that passes some rocky viewpoints and leads to the summit of a local hill at about 870 feet of elevation with good views back to the city. I parked adjacent to a ground level blue rectangle about 585 metres from the cache near a 'Golden in Setting Determined in Spirit' trailhead sign. These words are not anagrammed, and I did not climb 870 feet! This trailhead provides public access, avoiding having to cross any private property.

The trail from here follows portions of an old road with diversions over some worthwhile viewpoints. It is currently well flagged with mostly blue flagging tape. At one point the old road is blocked by fresh windfall which can be easily climbed around/over/under, a distance of possibly 15 metres. The start of the final short trail to the top is well marked with several different colours of flagging.

Please remember to mark a waypoint where you park your car, and be prepared to use the Tracback feature of your GPSr if necessary to return to it. I would also suggest marking a waypoint each time the trail comes upon or leaves a rocky bluff. Be prepared for some exercise enroute, and wear reasonably sturdy shoes.

The cache is is a 1 litre L&L located under a piece of bark beside the butt end of a large mossy old fallen log located a few metres off a trail. While I had good reception when recording the coordinates, I was nevertheless under some tree cover. If you have difficulty with signal, go to the pile of rocks at the summit and proceed 52.2 metres at 147.387 degrees true.
