La recherche de cette cache vous fera découvrir le village de Sart-lez-Spa et une partie de la vallée de la Hoëgne avec les vestiges d’exploitations industrielles qui étaient établies le long de cette rivière depuis le moyen-âge jusqu’au 19ème siècle : extraction d’ardoises, de tourbe, forges.
Garer votre voiture sur la place du Marché, près du perron
Wp1 : N 50° 31,030’ E 5° 55,969’
Faites le tour de la place en récoltant les données suivantes :
A = ### : numéro de l’Office du Tourisme ;
B = ## : à quel âge est mort celui qui est mort à Matadi ;
C = # : somme des deux derniers chiffres du numéro de la maison Bronfort ;
D = # : qu’y a-t-il aux pieds du Sotè (chat=1, chien=2, chouette=3, enfant=4) ;
E = # : que tient-il dans la main droite (faucille=1, marteau=2, rose=3, crucifix=4) ;
F = ## : numéro de chez Jenny , aujourd'hui nouveau bureau de poste,
G = ## : le numéro du Vieux Sart -20
H = #### : la date où le perron a été érigé ;
J = #### : la date de sa restauration
Ensuite, rendez-vous au wp2 en voiture. (2,2 km)..
En quittant la place du Marché, admirez le vieux chêne près de l’église..
Wp2 : N 50° 31,186’ E 5° 57,240’
Arrivés au wp2, parking possible.
Avant de prendre le sentier de grande randonnée qui descend la rivière, notez le numéro # sur le rond orange sur la grille du puits de l’ardoisière

Suivez le GR (marques rouges et blanches) jusqu’au pont de Parfondbois, puis restez sur la rive gauche jusqu’au WP3 N 5O° 31,887’ E 5° 56,951’
En chemin, remarquez le trou de l’ardoisière, au bord de la Hoëgne
Attention !!!! ne confondez pas le puits de l'ardoisière, près de la route au WP2, avec l'ardoisière,ici.
Notez encore, près du pont de Parfondbois
L = ## : la somme des lettres du nom de l’affluent: la ?????? (6 lettres; a=1, b=2, etc).
Au WP 3, continuez le long de la Hoëgne jusqu'au WP 4 N 50° 31,865’ E 5° 56,729’
en notant au passage:
M = #### : l’année de début de l’exploitation de la forge
N = #### : l’année de la fin de l’exploitation de la forge
Arrivé au WP4, la Pierre Plate, arrêtez-vous pour calculer les coordonnées de la cache. En été, vous pourrez nager dans la rivière, comme nos parents et grands-parents le faisaient à cet endroit.
Attention, la baignade peut être dangereuse !!!

Calculez les coordonnées finales : N X° Y,Z ' E U° V,W'
degrés : X=L-B ; U=D+E ;
minutes : Y=F-K-C-C; V=G ;
millièmes: Z=F*E*D ; W= (A+H+M) mod C = 00# ( W un nombre entre 0 et C-1)
Revenez au WP 3 en admirant encore les ruines des anciennes forges.
Prenez le chemin qui monte vers Arzelier,
La cache se trouve sur le chemin de retour aux coordonnées :

Vous arriverez sur la route près de WP2, où vous avez garé votre voiture,
Longueur de la promenade pédestre: env. 4400 m

Then, go to the wp2 with the car. (2,2 km).
On leaving the place of the Market, admire the ancient oak close to the church.

Arrived at the wp2 possible carpark.
Before taking the path of “great excursion” which descends the river, note the number # on the orange round on the grid of the well of the slate quarry.

Follow the GR. (red and white marks) to the bridge of Parfondbois, then remain on left bank until the wp3 N 5O° 31.887' E 5° 56.951'
In way, you can see the hole of the slate quarry near the river.
Caution!!!! don't confuse the well of the slate quarry, close to the road at WP2, with the slate quarry, here.
Near the bridge of Pafondbois :
L = ##: the sum of the letters of the name of the affluent: la ?????? (6 letters, a=1, b=2, etc).
At the wp3, continue until the wp4 N 50° 31,865' E 5° 56,729' , noting at the ruins of the old forging mill:
M = ####: the year of beginning of the exploitation of the forging mill
N = ####: the year of the end of the exploitation of the forging mill
Arrived at the wp4, stop you to calculate the co-ordinates of the hiding place. In summer, you will be able to swim in the river, like our parents and grandparents did it at this place. Attention, the bathing can be dangerous!!!

The hiding place is on the way of return to the co-ordinates:

You will arrive on the road near the WP2, at a place where you had park your car.
