Sign of the Past Traditional Cache

A simple little urban cache, but a couple of ground rules are in order. This cache can be done without leaving the public sidewalk, and is easily handicapped accessible. There is no need to enter any plantings or to approach the door of the building. It is also a very busy place, so stealth is a MUST.
The coordinates will place you in front of a downtown communications business.
The cache is located in a permanent "container" that is sign of the past. The container was an aid to building security, and has been made unnecessary with the advent of inexpensive cameras. It originally contained a coded key that a nightwatchman would use in a clock he carried to show he was making his full rounds on time. If you look around the downtown area or in any industrial area, you will see many other similar containers, and almost none are still in use.
Remember now what I said about not leaving the sidewalk or approaching the door, and you won't need a clue to find it.
