The cache is in the hollow of a multi-trunk tree next to the dam. A dirt road leads to it.

Alsószölnök is in the valley of the river Rába.
Most of its inhabitants belong to the so called Slavic Vends.

The river Rába enters Hungary at Alsószölnök from Austria. The nearest city is Szentgotthárd (5 miles). The settlement was first mentioned in 1387.
Notable sights in the village are the Roman Catholic church dating back to 1815, and the dam with its hydroelectric station on the river Rába.

Warning! Watch out for the bridge! There is no railing on it.
