The CCC Trail #1264 works it's way through beautiful old growth forest, crossing creek after creek along the way. The trail is approximately 3 miles long and links together with the Middle Fork Trailhead. Mountain Bikes are allowed on this trail and there is one creek crossing sure to wet the toes.
The drive out is hazardous, especially on cars meant for city driving. The Middle Fork Road is pocked with potholes and even though the trailhead is only 7 miles out, it can take up to 45 minutes to get there depending on how brave you are with your car (I made it in just over 12 minutes in a rental). Prepare for a car wash and a bath after this one. When approaching from the west, take exit 34 and turn left at the stop sign.
