One of the smallest school districts in Texas. The two room
schoolhouse is still open with grades k-6.. Opened in 1882 on
donated land. Named "The Divide School" for the ridge that divides
the watersheds of the Llano and Guadalupe Rivers. There are no
towns or cities within the boundaries of the school district.
Children who "graduate" from The Divide School are picked up at
the school and delivered to their junior high and high school bus
stops by a limousine! That is getting bused in style!
This cache was placed because one of my best friends went to
school here and ranched nearby.
