Geocache Description:

A log only micro placed near a concrete walkway within 50' of parking. BYOP. Lots of muggles so stealth required.

Morton is home to the Morton Loggers' Jubilee, the oldest celebration of it's kind. Held the second weekend in August, it features a parade, flea market, logging competition, street dance, and lawnmower races.

Morton's Loggers' Memorial is dedicated to the men and women who have given their lives in support of the logging communities of Lewis County. Designed and built by Bob Collier of Glenoma, WA., it reminds us of those that have gone before us doing what they loved to do. They spent their lives working in and around the logging and mills that have supported so many families in Eastern Lewis County. Though the number of jobs has decreased drastically through the years the timber industry is still the largest employer in the area.
