Take a nice walk at Lakeside Park and pick up a cache to boot!
I picked up this ready-made cache at "The Big Store" and just had to place it at the Tater hole. This is a great park for hiking, fishing, boating, and now caching. This is the first and only Geo-cache in the park, but not for long. There are 72 acres of wooded hiding spots to challenge every skill level. I have added one more item in the cache for FTF! A brand-spankin'-new 2007 NC-Foothills track-able Geo-coin with activation code attached. Its waitin' for the takin'!
You can park down at the boat ramp for an easier walk, or at the picnic shelter for a closer but more difficult descent down the hill. Which ever way you choose, the cache is in the same spot. Approx. .2 mile to ground zero. When retrieving the goods, keep an eye on the trail so you won't be surprised by the occasional passer-by. Have fun, and enjoy your hunt!
