Geocache Description:

Should be a quick park & grab just off the hwy. We discovered Romans actually were here before Columbus. Spartacus must have explored Oklahoma and the Illinois River. We have proof at this site. The cache is a 35mm film canister.

Romans really love Banana Nut Bread.

Spartacus's Banana Nut Bread

1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup bananas ( We use really old heavily spotted bananas and smash them up really well and make it a big heaping cup full for a more banana flavor)
1/2 cup sour milk (1/2 tsp. vinegar to 1/2 cup milk)
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup nuts ( we use two cups of pecans or black walnuts or english walnuts)
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until brown . Makes two loaves. Be sure to grease and flour pans. ( We make two regular bread pans and two baby ones with this and it take ours 25-26 minutes)
