I was curious about the old Burlington Northern Railroad right of way so I made a few email inquiries and finally visited with the Butler County Economic Development Director. The right of way in Butler County is owned by Butler County and their only concern of people walking down it was Butler County's liability. He said that as long as I was willing to accept my own liability, he had no problem of me walking it. I also gave him the 'Geocaching' website's address..he was interested. I am assuming the same with Sedgwick County although I have not visited with anybody there. This geocache is located in Sedgwick County but the road to the east is the County line.
