Well here you have it...another ammo can hide. This cache hide was inspired by one of my first finds that "took me to the edge". The inspiring hide was GCM1X5 by DMFlyer. If you have not done it...try it... Coords were taken with a 550 average but the tree cover plays many games with the GPSr. The readings will be especially hard in warmer months with leaf cover.
This is not a long hike from nearest parking HOWEVER the terrain and elevation change is pretty extreme. It only took me about 10-15 minutes to get here from my geomobile but I was anxious to make the hide. I recommend taking more time. Please use caution when hunting this one. Many many leaves blanket the steep slope and sliding is almost certain.
Parking for one or two cars available at N 36 26.803 W 082 26.505. Be aware that although this is a fun and enjoyable spot if you are a fishing fan but after dark there are questionable activities that go on. The garbage items on the ground suggest that all sorts of things go after dark. This is a higher rated cache and should not be attempted by small children. Also this area stays in constant need of CITO so please pitch in. Cache is a large 50 cal ammo can and is stocked with logbook and bags O' swag for trading. Please rehide well. Please use stealth and avoid mugglings. Happy hunting.
