Micro cache placed on a little known trail set in a wooded portion of public property adjacent to the Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) Marjory Stoneman Douglas building.
In the shadow of the building dedicated to environmentalist and author of "The Everglades: River of Grass" is a short trail system maintained by DEP's Office of Greenways and Trails. Mostly used by DEP employees during breaks or lunch, this trail system includes two joined loops, "A" & "B". See the trail map/sign located at the trail entrance at N30° 28.644’ and W084° 21.541’. Loop "A" is to the right of the first intersection you encounter. Try both. Loop "A" has a minor portion along Interstate 10 while loop "B" includes a very brief (30 feet ±) portion of sidewalk along Commonwealth Blvd. to avoid a drainage ditch. The cache contains a basic log and pencil. You may need to bring your own pen/pencil. Please replace the cache as you found it.
