A little more than 100 feet off the trail you will find this
small tin container where there is a great view of the
boulder-strewn slopes of Bell Bluff.
This location also provides a great view of Viejas Mountain to
the north.
The Terrain rating is based on having to cross the Sweetwater
River from either the trailhead at the Loveland Reservoir parking
area or another trailhead at N 32° 48.802 W 116° 44.169 (GC117HH).
The Loveland Reservoir Parking parking area is open only from
Dawn to Sunset. There is no parking available along Japatul
Valley Road and from the signs, I think they are serious.
